Acne Face Masks and Natural Acne Remedies
Acne is an annoying and often uncomfortable skin condition which can leave scars if not treated over the long term.
There many natural antimicrobial oils and other ingredients that are useful for combating acne causing bacteria.
Many essential oils contain antibacterial and antifungal properties like:
- Tea Tree oil (Melaleuca oil) from the Melaleuca tree
- Manuka – a close relative of Tea Tree which is a native on New Zealand
- Rosemary oil

All of the oils contain antimicrobial agents so they are great for use in an acne remedy. If you add them to base oils or natural homemade face mask recipes you can make acne treatments that not only deal with the bacterial aspect, but also calm soothe, protect and heal your skin after the acne lesions have gone.
